Deep Covered Baker Bread

When Paul and I first got married I had a Pampered Chef Bridal Shower. It was wonderful, yummy food and great products. I highly recommend, if you know someone who is getting married, this is a really fun way to help them stock their kitchen. Anyway… back to what you came here for. Well, during the bridal shower fun I was able to write out my wish list. On it was this beautiful crimson baker.

It was seriously one of my favorite gifts. Only problem was I didn’t know what to do with it. So there it sat, for at least 4 years. Never used. Sad right? But alas!! The recipe that allowed me to break this baker out and start exploring how awesome it really is.

This bread is so quick and easy, and of course it tastes great. We have been using it as a side for dinners but my all time favorite use. FRENCH TOAST. This bread will make an amazing French toast. It’s seriously so so good. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do.

Deep covered baker bread

Ingredients

5 to 6 cups all purpose flour

2 tablespoons dry yeast

2 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon salt

2 cups hot water directions

Directions

First you want to mix 4 cups of the flour with yeast, sugar and salt.

Then I move my flour mix to my mixer bowl and pour in hot water and beat 100 strokes or three minutes in mixer.

Stir in remaining flour until the dough is no longer sticky.

Still sticky add some more flour

Perfect!!

Now you may need to warm up before this. But it is time to kneed! Kneed your bread for eight minutes.

Next you want to put your dough into to go in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp towel. Let rise 15 minutes.

After you’ve anxiously waiting for 15 minutes. Punch down and shape into large loaf. Place the dough in Deep Covered Baker that has been greased. Then Cut 1/2 inch deep slit along top and several small slits on each side of the first.

Next up, put the lid on the Baker and place in COLD oven turn oven to 400° and bake 50 minutes. Do not peak! SERIOUSLY DONT PEAK. Let it do its thing.

And then for the good part!! Eat warm and use left overs for French toast.

SO I am a baking novice and I am probably an idiot … but do you mean that you start the 50 minute count down as soon as you put it in the oven OR do you mean start the 50 minute count down once the oven gets to 400 degrees??
